Glen Echo Pottery offers both Adult Classes (minimum age of 17) and Young Adult Classes (minimum age 12), spanning all skill levels. Completed pieces are fired to cone 10/11 in reduction atmosphere.

What to bring (for adult classes): a small bucket for water, a towel, and tools. Basic tool kits are available for purchase on the first day of class. Tuition currently includes all open studio hours, but does not include clay fee, tools, or firing fee.

Basic Tool Kit: $15
Clay Fee: $8
Firing Fee: $2 per pound, or $3 per pound for larger (> 10 inch) pieces.

What to wear: old clothing and sturdy shoes.

NOTE: For Young Adult classes (ages 12-17) tuition covers everything; there is no extra fee for clay, tools, or firing.
